NETWORK CABLING, THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

1. On each end of cable should have label better to use numbe rings.
2. Label on Patch Panel and User end should be must.
3. Try to connect at same port from Patch panel to Switch.
4. Use ties to dress the cables
5. For wifi ports put Wifi label there too to avoid connecting other devices over that port.
6. Should have Trunk way during building design.

Command rejected: An interface whose trunk encapsulation is "Auto" can not be configured to "trunk" mode.

During configuration of trunk port, you may see this error,

Command rejected: An interface whose trunk encapsulation is "Auto" can not be configured to "trunk" mode.

Solution for Error,

enter command

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport mode trunk

How to get serial number of VMware ESXi host from vSphere Client?

1. Login to vSphere Client to access VMware  ESXi host,

3. Click on Configuration Tab, Then Processors , You will see Service Tag at the end. Which is serial number of Host Machine. It will look like this,
